How to store the raw materials for electrode paste preparation

How to store the raw materials for electrode paste preparation? Various carbon raw materials must be classified and stored to ensure that the quality of the raw materials used in the production process is qualified and stable. The following points should be paid attention to when storing the raw materials:

① The storage site of carbonaceous raw materials must be cement ground, and the mixing of external impurities should be minimized when raw materials are stored. During the storage of raw materials, it is strictly forbidden to mix in dust, sand and other impurities. Less ash raw materials are best stored in the warehouse, and urgent raw materials should be kept in stock. For spare raw materials, if there is no warehouse, they can be stored in the open air. However, management must be strengthened and appropriate measures must be taken, such as cement floor, reed mat cover, and bag packaging, so as to prevent the raw materials from being mixed with impurities during storage.

② Carbon raw materials should be prevented from mixing with each other during storage, especially the ash-rich raw materials should be prevented from mixing into the low-ash raw materials. If the raw materials are mixed, they should be degraded and used. For the same type of raw materials, if the quality inspection results differ greatly, they should be stacked separately.

③It is necessary to prevent rain and snow, so as to prevent the raw materials from increasing their moisture due to the infiltration of rain or snow, which will affect the degree of heat treatment during the calcination or drying process and increase the fuel consumption.

④ Pay attention to the turnover and use of the stored raw materials. Some raw materials should not be stored for too long. Strengthen the quality inspection of the stored raw materials in order to grasp the quality changes of the stored raw materials in time. If the quality changes of the stored raw materials exceed the requirements, stop use.

⑤ Raw materials that have been stored for a long time cannot be used directly. The quality of carbon raw materials will change during long-term storage, and external impurities may also be mixed into the raw materials. Therefore, for the long-term storage of raw materials, they must be sampled, analyzed and inspected according to the specified quality indicators before use. Only the qualified raw materials can be put into use, and the unqualified raw materials should be discontinued or degraded. For example, if anthracite is stored for too long, it will be weathered and large pieces will become smaller pieces, which directly affects its mechanical strength; if stored for too long, coal tar pitch will age, leading to changes in its softening temperature and composition.
