1,The manufacturer of the 1hp 400 graphite electrode pointed out that the joint should be carefully screwed into the hole of the spare hp 400 graphite electrode (it is not recommended to install the joint directly in the electrode taken out of the furnace). No threads will collide.

2,Remove the foam plastic cover from the spare hp 400 graphite electrode hole. Check the integrity of the internal thread of the electrode hole.

3,Dry the wet hp 400 graphite electrode before use.

4,Rotate the electrode coater (recommended graphite coater) into the electrode hole at the other end of the spare electrode.

5,When lifting the electrode, prevent the joint from being damaged; install the loose material at the end of the joint on the spare electrode. The lifting electrode should be stable. After entering the hoisting ring with the hook, lift the hoisting ring to prevent the electrode b end from loosening or colliding with other fixing devices.

6,Clean the surface and threaded holes of the spare hp 400 graphite electrode with oil-free and water-free compressed air. Avoid using wire or metal brushes to clean abrasive cloths.

7,Hang the spare electrode above the electrode to be connected. After the spare electrode is aligned with the electrode hole, slowly lower the spare electrode. After the electrode is completely lowered, do not apply too much, otherwise it will be damaged due to violent collision. Rotate the spare electrode so that the spiral hook and the electrode rotate downward together; when the tops of the two electrodes are 10-20 mm apart. Then clean the end face and the exposed part of the electrode connector with compressed air, which may damage the electrode hole and the thread of the connector.

8,Tighten the spare electrode with a torque wrench until the top surfaces of the two electrodes are in close contact (the correct joint between the electrode and the joint is less than 0.05 mm).
